The Perfect Cup of Tea

The perfect cup of tea starts, of course, with using high-quality organic tea. But how you prepare it is just as important as what you are preparing. Follow the guidelines below for your own perfect cup of tea.

Organic White Tea

Our organic white teas are plucked + withered + air dried.

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 175°-195° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil, let rest for 2 minutes
measure: 3 g (approx.1 tbsp) of Organic White Tea per 6 oz of water
(for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 2-3 minutes, resteep

Organic Pan Fired Green Tea

Our organic pan fired green teas are plucked + withered + pan fired + shaped + pan fired + fired (final) + sorted

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 170°-180° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
let rest for 4 ½ minutes
measure: 3 g (approx. ¾ tbsp) of Organic Pan Fired Green Tea per 6 oz of water
(for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 1-3 minutes, resteep

Organic Steamed Green Tea

Our organic steamed green teas are plucked + withered + pan fired + shaped + pan fired + fired (final) + sorted.

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 160°-175° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
let rest for 5 minutes
measure: 3 g (approx. ¾ tbsp) of Organic Steamed Green Tea per 6 oz of water
(for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 30 seconds -2 minutes resteep

Organic Oolong Tea

Our organic oolong teas are plucked + withered + rolled and shaped + oxidized (optional) + rolled (optional) + fired + baked (optional) + aged (optional)

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 175°-195° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
let rest for 2 minutes
measure: 3 g (approx. 1 tbsp) of Organic Oolong Tea per 6 oz of water (for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 3-4 minutes resteep multiple times

Organic Black Tea

Our organic black tea is plucked + withered + rolled + [crush, tear, curl (optional step instead of rolling)] + oxidized + fired + graded

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 208°-212° bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
measure: 3 g (approx.1 tbsp) of Organic Black Tea per 6 oz of water (for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 3-5 minutes , resteep

Organic Pu’erh Tea

Our organic pu’erh tea is plucked + sorted and withered + pan fired + rolled + sun dried + 2nd rolling + sorted + graded + then either a Sheng or Shou pu’erh is produced.

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 205°-212° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
measure: 3 g (approx.1 tbsp) of Organic Pu’erh Tea per 6 oz of water (for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 45 seconds, resteep

Organic Tisane

siptea tisanes contain stimulants unless indicated caffeine free.

Brewing Instructions

water temp: 205°-212° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
measure: 3 g (approx. 1 tbsp) of Organic Tisane per 6 oz of water (for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 3-5 minutes

Organic Caffeine Free Tisane

Chamomile, Chrysanthemum and Hibiscus tisanes are made of flowers that when added to water produce aromatic infusions that can be enjoyed hot or cold.

water temp: 205°-212° F bring cold filtered water to a rolling boil
measure: 3 g (approx. 1 tbsp) Organic Caffeine Free Tisane per 6 oz of water (for iced tea, use half the amount of water)
steep: 3-5 minutes
